An idea a day:
38. Develop a wikipedia style database for solution to public exam questions
Not only students taking the exam can contribute, everyone who are interested in the field, like professionals, professors, lecturers, school teachers, ex-students can publish and post solution on this website.
Like wikipedia, it can provide the most up-to-date answers, for open end questions, it can provide mulitple answer to students for reference, as muliple users can post different answers to same question.
It can also provide reference website/ books for students as a related further study.
The number of public exam students may not be large enough to support this thing, especially in HK, as all are CD-ROMs. The idea can be applied in GCE (AS/A2) or SAT, as the exams are talking about a whole country.

Comments:

The wiki-thing for students is good, if really established, it can really help, but have you consider the privacy problems?

As the exam questions are the intellientual property of respective exam authorities, if not paid, they won't allow you to publish those material over the net.

Would your idea just similar to an "online version" of those paper-back solution to HKCEE??

Are there any revenue model? Can it earn?
Ka, thanks for your comments.

Yes, a devil advocate is necessary for wild ideas, please leave critical comments in doubt area!!

About the privacy problems, HKEA sell exam papers, that means, if you pay the price, you will have the right to use the copy.

If I paid a certain copyright fee, to buy, say 10 copy of "virtual papers", allowing 10 registered, unique users to use the material, will it be alright?

In addition, HKEA should not be a $$ making authority, everyone in HK has the right for being educated. If the exam papers are expensive, but it is a nesscessity to students, it will discourage poor to get good result in exams.

By this arguement, this website is a fair database to all, who has the passion to get good result from their sweat, no matter rich or poor.

By releasing the information at a low price to this website can easily achieve this purpose.

Refer to your second question, yes you may regard this as the "online version" of paperback, but the author is by anoymous, or by all people.

The revenue model can be in many ways, the wiki-solution can be published in paper-back, just like the ordinary one.

The site can earn by advertisments, as the site is v. targeted, teen-related fashion company may interested.
If the website is similar to those "paper-back", it would be nice if you could partner with them.

If the idea exist, it will threaten the sale of "paper-back", if you could partner with them, let them provide the core of the solution, then let user to amend, correct or elaborate the answer, and the profit can be divided among you two, then a win-win situation.
Yes, you are right, partnership is the core of all business.
Your site is so funny and responsive.

Hope my comments can help to consolidate the ideas!
我偶然search野發現呢個website,我覺得真係好正!

個個都話香港人無乜創意,你睇下Orangedays再講啦‧
Disney has improved by adopting more effective PR approaches. But it's the first time I've known they assigned a PR person to be the "Disney Ambassador". Anyway, to revamp its poor image, a lot of work is still ahead.

PS: I also read an article on the moguls of game manufacturers. Sony's PS3 received rather poor reviews and feedback, and the stocks failed to meet market supply. Even worse, PS3 can't accommodate games of PS and PS2. On the other hand, Wii has more upbeat future. I quite agree with the "entertainment-focus" strategy.
樓上o既Raymond, 版主o既創意真係多到,well,多到我大開眼界呀~!Tim兄有無諗住真係試下去創業呢?
